Welcome to my webpage with pictures and GPS tracks from our 7-day visit to Carsethorn (Scotland) in 2009.
All pictures were taken with a Fuji FinePix S6500fd digital camera (28-300 mm equiv; 1:2.8-4.9; 58 mm; 6.3 megapixels) and have been reduced in size for faster download.
Each picture was taken near one of the GPS tracks listed below.
GPS Tracks
Follow the links below to detailed information about each track. You can also download a GPX file of the track described. This GPX file can be used for upload onto your own GPS device. All GPX files are free, but only for non-commercial use.
All tracks were recorded using a Garmin etrex vista HCx. They were edited later to erase any unnecessary or unwanted detours.
We stayed at the friendly Old Shop B&B in Carsethorn. Therefore some tracks start and end there, all others can be reached by bus from Carsethorn.
Disclaimer: These tracks were recorded in June 2009 and conditions, routes and terrain may have changed in the meantime. Therefore use of these tracks is entirely at your own risk! Some tracks show walks at low tide; at high tide you would have to walk much closer to the coast.
